For over three decades, Drome  Sound has been instrumental in teaching students and musicians of all  ages in the tri-city area of Schenectady, Albany and Troy. Our  music lesson studios are conveniently located along side our retail  store at 1875 State Street, Schenectady, NY.  Drome Sound offers lessons  in drums, percussion, guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, violin, banjo and more. Our instructors provide study in a wide variety of styles! From Classical and Jazz, to Blues, Rock and Metal, we can accommodate virtually any level of proficiency a student may possess. Ed Munger {guitar, ukulele, voice, theory} Born in Albany, New York, Ed started playing piano at age 5 and by 11 he was playing guitar. Ed studied Mel Bay's Guitar Method, Volumes l-Vll and studied at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, undertaking a professional concentration on arrangement in musical composition.

He’s published several musical compositions and books of guitar music, including Jigs & Reels For Classical Guitar, from Mel Bay Publishing.

A Master’s Instruction student of famed guitarist Jorge Morel in New York City, Ed served as adjunct faculty at the College of St. Rose, Albany, N.Y., teaching Classic Guitar.

Ed shared his expertise as Jazz Guitar instructor at Union College in Schenectady, NY and taught Blues Guitar at Empire College in Saratoga. He’s performed at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Proctors Theater, Schenectady; and Colonie Stardust Theatre, Albany, NY.

Ed is director of Ed Munger Music Studio where he continues to teach guitar and voice to students at all levels, beginner to expert.

Don Warren {guitar, bass, ukulele, songwriting, singing, gear setup and maintenance} From beginners to pro, Don Warren has taught guitar lessons to every age and level. With a reputation of being a top notch music educator Don knows when to act as teacher, coach and mentor to his students. Rock, Blues, Acoustic, Country, Pop, indie, alternative, Funk, Metal, Jazz. Don makes music theory easy to understand and apply.

Mike Warren {guitar, bass, ukulele, songwriting} Mike Warren makes learning music theory and song-writing fun and rewarding. Mike has played in established bands on KOA tours, and performed with in-demand local acts, as well as a session guitarist and co-songwriter. Previous experience in running rock camps and instructing/directing live performance rehearsals.
